Encarnacion to Kane County
BOISE, Idaho – The Boise Hawks, in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, have announced that outfielder Kevin Encarnacion has been promoted to the Class-A Kane County Cougars.
Encarnacion hit .298 with two home runs, three doubles, and four RBI in 13 games with the Hawks – including an eight-game hitting streak that is the longest in the Northwest League so far this season.
No corresponding roster move has been made. It marks the first-ever promotion by a Boise player to the new Class-A affiliate of the Cubs.
